How to Draw A Realistic Eye with Gimp TUTORIAL

KEEP ANNOTATIONS ON FOR FULL TUTORIAL! :) Read Description for more detail !! Warning: You might have to pause the video... a lot...... This is a tutorial for how to draw a generic human eye using GIMP (an awesome free photo manipulation program) I found the first song very fitting lol :) Please comment on it; maybe give me some advice on how I could make it better? I wanted to keep this video short, so that you wouldn't be too bored watching it, but that meant that I had to leave more details out for the tutorial... so if you need more help just read here! There are three main tools used in GIMP for this drawing: The airbrush tool (it makes smoother strokes than the paintbrush), the smudge tool ( I am not very good at drawing smooth lines, so I use this to help smooth and blend lines and value together! :) I really recommend it), and the eraser tool (to erase mistakes of course). 1. Draw a basic eyeball outline. Draw the eyelid on top and another one at the bottom too. Make the bottom of your eyeball outline LOWER than you would originally think it would be, because that will make room for the bottom eyelid! 2. Draw the outline for the iris. The iris is ALWAYS in the shape of a round circle, BUT since our eyelid covers some of our eyes, the iris is usually cut off at the top. the rest of it, however, is still a perfectly round circle (even though I didn't really draw a perfect circle but you get the idea :P ). 3.LEAVE A HIGHLIGHT SOMEWHERE IN THE EYE. There is ALWAYS a ...

Drawing Skye on Gimp

Finished pic: cynder-and-spyro-fan.deviantart.com Okay, I hope the sound works D: Here is a new recording video! I haven't made any for a while XD This time featuring Skye, my Spyro fan character. For the sketch and lineart I used the brush tool, with the brush called Circle tool (11) , its size is 0,22 pixels for the sketch, and0,15 for the lineart/ The canevas size is about 2500x3500. For the background of the pic, these are textures made by Hibbary from DeviantART. The musics are all Kingdom Hearts soundtracks. Yes, I'm a KH fan XD The first one: Scythe of Petals. Second one: The 1000 Heartless battle, I forgot the exact title. Third one: Darkness Of the Unkown.
