GIMP Tutorial – Dragan Effect

GIMP Tutorial to give a photo a Dragan effect. No doubt you've seen this effect done with Adobe Photoshop - so here's a tutorial to get a similar effect in GIMP. You will need the Advanced Tone Mapping plug-in here: registry.gimp.org - Download the file named advancedtonemapping.scm and copy and paste it into your Scripts folder in the GIMP directory on your computer. Then restart GIMP to activate the script.

Part 1 includes how to import you picture in to gimp and how to separate the clean line art from the white background and put it on it's own separate transparent layer.
