GIMP Tutorial – Dragan Effect

GIMP Tutorial to give a photo a Dragan effect. No doubt you've seen this effect done with Adobe Photoshop - so here's a tutorial to get a similar effect in GIMP. You will need the Advanced Tone Mapping plug-in here: registry.gimp.org - Download the file named advancedtonemapping.scm and copy and paste it into your Scripts folder in the GIMP directory on your computer. Then restart GIMP to activate the script.

To get it, go here: camstudio.org This is a tutorial series that teaches the basics of coloring anime-style drawing on gimp. Part 1 includes how to import you picture in to gimp and how to separate the clean line art from the white background and put it on it's own separate transparent layer. This video has information on layers, as well as the color selection tool.
