This tutorial is a broad overview of layer uses, including how to add multiple images to a project, arrange them in the layer stack, and change the layer opacity. If you don't have gimp on your computer already, go here: www.gimp.org I also used CamStudio screen recorder to record these videos, and I highly recommend it if you want to do any tutorials of your own. To get it, go here: camstudio.org This is a tutorial series that teaches the basics of coloring anime-style drawing on gimp. Part 1 includes how to import you picture in to gimp and how to separate the clean line art from the white background and put it on it's own separate transparent layer. This video has information on layers, as well as the color selection tool.
