How to Add Brushes to Gimp 2.6

This tutorial shows you how to add brushes to Gimp on a MAC. This method can be applied to Gimp 2.6 or previous versions of Gimp, and although it is primarily for MAC users, PC users can use this tutorial to find the right folder for adding the brushes. Gimp is basically the free version of photoshop, having plenty of graphic design, photo editing, and text effect features. GIMP Tutorial – Watermark Photos

How to watermark photos in GIMP, by making a re-usable custom GIMP brush, for quick and easy watermarking of multiple images. For this tutorial you will need to install GIMP with Python support for Windows (in Linux this is already installed). Here's a link to help: gimptricks.deviantart.com and you will also need the Layer Effect Plugin (Python version) here: registry.gimp.org - if you can't get Python installed there is a Script-fu version of the plugin too - but it has no preview.

How to add brushes into the Gimp. *If you have a later version of Gimp, such as 2.0, you can now add photoshop brushes! Woo!* 1. Download the Gimp Brushes off of Deviantart.com 2. Extract brushes once downloaded. 3. Locate your Gimp 2.0 folder. 4. Find the brushes folder in the Gimp folder. 5. Copy and paste the new gimp brushes into the brushes folder in the Gimp. 6.
