Night and day photo blend with GIMP By Dom Bower
In this tutorial i show you how to blend or merge two photos using the layer mask tool and the gradiant brush. This video has it with the same image but taken as a night time photo and a day time photo Gimp is the free photo editing software like photoshop and has all the same functions. all photos copyright of dom bower www.dombower.com photo taken with the nikon d300 and nikon 10.5mm fish eye lens.

oh no! actually i think i do have that image… will need to go find it and make it later. dont think ill bother making another video of it though.

yeah that was cool! to bad you couldn’t use the night pic that had the long streak of tail lights, and day light on the other side. that would have looked cool. but i guess the one you did was okay too.

very cool idea,, thank you for the tutorial. got loads of thing i want to try today after attend ing photocamp bradford 09. Saw some of Miss Aniela’s work in her key note and talk… amazing what can be done withprograms like photoshop or gimp. Will add this to my list. Rick
