How to make a YouTube BG v2
A very highly requested tutorial. The stocks you will need: Mint: www.faqs.org Speakers: www.iconspedia.com Brushes: www.smashingmagazine.com Fractal: greentunic.deviantart.com Template: robertsproductions.net It is very important that you save your background as under 256kbs. YouTube will not accept the background if it is not saved to fit this file constraint.

@GimpKnowHow So that’s where the comments come from that say, “When I hit delete, nothing happens.” Those people are on a Mac.

Kid, your tutorial is most excellent. Keep it up. You’re giving me and others like myself a good vision of GIMP. Thanks.

You should use other software in your tutorials if you feel like it – it doesn’t matter if the software is free or not, the thing is to make realistic tutorials that help people learn and discover stuff – which is exactly what you do. And noone in professional life sticks to using just one piece of software.

No offense JX but these background tutorials are a bit unnecessary, what you should do is make a template free for download then make tutorials on how to make background effect ect which can be used on youtube backgrounds.

@toontownroxx You have to extract them the brushes from the .zip file first. Use programs like 7zip or WinZip (google it) to extract the brushes from the file. After you extract them put them in your brushes folder which on a PC is username/gimp2.0/brushes. Then restart GIMP and it will work. Hope I was clear enough, leave me a profile comment for further help.

@toontownroxx Did you unzip the zip folder?!?!?!?!?
