The problem with vegas is that the files that are rendered take up about 5x as much space as normal video files.

If loading time is that big of an issue for you and/or your viewers, you can edit the load times out or speed them up. If I’m not mistaken, you use Vegas. Vegas is one of my editing programs, so I know you can do that.
