How to Make a Battery Icon in Gimp

Oh dear, I forgot to put in my intro... Anyway, how to make a battery icon similar to Apple's in Gimp. Hmm. After watching this video I seem surprisingly unenthusiastic as compared to my others. I apologize. This tutorial is loosely based off of: vector.tutsplus.com
