I cant tell, did you set the layer mode to “Grain Merge”?
If you do that, I think it will look more realistic.

the multiply tool is always in the same spot goto your layers panel ctrl+l then click next to where it says mode (default is normal) and two down is Multiply under dissolve otherwise i dont know
