Gimp tutorial- Stained Glass Reflection text effect
Learn how to make a stained glass effect in GIMP in this tutorial. You can use this as text effect but also use this effect for other things you make in GIMP. Because of the reflection it makes the pattern look translucent. Link called Disco pattern: i609.photobucket.com You'll also learn a different technique to make a border on text in GIMP.

Out of my tutorials only about 1/10th are text effects.
I did make one on how to turn someone into the hulk and one on how to make a 100 years old portrait. Have a look through my videos.

If you really want a laugh you should turn on the captions on the video. They are hilarious.

@gbassi13
Try it! That’s what tutorials are for, to give you ideas and then add some ideas of yourself to it.

I like he effect that’s created with the duplicate blurred layer, but I think it would look better with the same pattern but in a single tone of colour, rather then a rainbow (by using the colourize tool). Maybe alternate the tone from letter to letter.
