GIMP Tutorial: How to Remove & Insert People
This presentation shows how to replace a person in a photo. This can be easily be used to remove a person from a photo and fill in the area with another person or an object such as a shrub. Dedicated to a friend of mine in Papua New Guinea who requested this tutorial.

Just click on your Rectangle Select, then click outside of your selection is one way.
[CTRL] [Z] will back up your path one point at a time.

A program called The GIMP. You can learn more about it at: gimp[DOT]org/ It is very powerful and is totally free. Replace the [DOT] with a period. YouTube normally does not allow URLs to be posted.

use the path tool to select the people, then do”select from path”, then press ctrl+i and it will delete the background not the person..then paste the picture like you said a beach and place it down the picture of that person in the layer dialoge box….

um now wat if u want to cut the background and place this picture in, saaay, point pleasant beach? wat would u do to cut the people out?

This is pretty helpful!
But i have a problem….
After i use the PATH selection,and go to select and click:”From path” It will be moving,but there will be lines that will cross over the part i want to remove,and that messes up the picture,how can i fix it? I’ve been trying to do it for days,but it still sucks.
