@fight2Bfree For the add layer mask see my video called something like “layer mask as eraser tool ” I don’t know how to explain it better then that.

Alpha to selection, why it’s named that you should ask the developers. Next time I do it in a video I’ll try to stand still and explain what it does a little.

your tutorials are the best. I could listen to you all day. If you have time and if there is demand for this, can you do a tutorial explaining in depth some of the menu items under mask and transparency like what exactly the add layer mask and under transparency what alpha to selection does and why they are named that. I hear those terms in many tutorials but i am fuzzy on what it is they do. Especially if there is no immediate efffect on the image.

Yes the blue one! The desktop background on the video for “Cool tricks about the Gimp interface”. I’d love to do a version of that in green, and have tried since I’ve seen yours but can’t seem to get it quite right.

Great vid! 5*’s..i know how to put a image on to Desktop wallpaper But HOW CAN I ENLARGE the image with out enlarging the wallpaper? i can’t find a video on how to do this THANKS!
