okay is deyr any way i can take my pic..lyk in photoshop take two people or lyk two pictures, and make dem into one, lyk i have a pic of myself and dis singer bill kaulitz, standing together but its photoshoped i wanna do another one so can i do it on gimp?? bcuz i dnt have photoshop no more
Most people who claim either Photoshop or GIMP are much better than the other usually don’t know enough about the two apps in their current forms to really say that.
I have a few image editing apps, including a retail copy of Photoshop I spent hundreds on, and I’ll say that when I work on a Linux PC and GIMP is the only option, I miss nothing. Both GIMP and Photoshop are at the top of the image editing heap, Photoshop has a bit of refinement and specialty use ($700+), GIMP is free.
Thanks for posting these tutorials! I really appreciate it!
I started Gimp a s a total newbie a few weeks ago, and have done dozens of photos from my family album…restoration and color enhancement.
I’ve made quantum leaps, but there are some things that baffle the daylights out of me!
I’m happy with good results that I get most of the time, but when I fool around for hours trying to figure out a certain thing with no luck, I want to pull my hair out!

Simple tutorial, but very useful. You are helping all the newbies that aren’t familiar with the Gimp.
