    so did I, but I eventually got it. you have to click windows at the top of the screen, dockable dialogs then tool options, then click on paintbrush after comes up and drag to where it says you can drop dockable dialogs here.

    Uninstall gimp and install it again… it will only take 5-10 minutes.

    PS. A new verision of Gimp 2.6.4 is out – Gimp 2.6.6

    I need help. All my colors have been erased (I know how to get those back) and the paintbrush has been taken out of the dock thing. How do it get back all it says is “You can drop dockable dialogs hee” and I can’t do anything, please help.
