Adding new brushes to the Gimp tutorial.
How to add brushes into the Gimp. *If you have a later version of Gimp, such as 2.0, you can now add photoshop brushes! Woo!* 1. Download the Gimp Brushes off of Deviantart.com 2. Extract brushes once downloaded. 3. Locate your Gimp 2.0 folder. 4. Find the brushes folder in the Gimp folder. 5. Copy and paste the new gimp brushes into the brushes folder in the Gimp. 6. Start up Gimp and test out your new brushes. =D I hope the video was pretty easy to follow. Feel free to ask questions ...

Well you are basically looking for any folder that is called Gimp.
Do a folder search for it, and hopefully that works!
If not message me back.

Well, you obvoiusly have to have the Gimp closed in the first place. Maybe that is what happened? Or maybe they’re in the wrong folder? The new brushes have to be there if you followed everything I said to. Try scrolling to the bottom or something.

I did everything exactly as you said and my new brushes are in my brushes folder in Gimp 2.6 but it doesn’t show up when i actually try to get them on Gimp
